Several publications are based on existing fieldrecordings that were revived and transmitted to the next generation during workshop performances in schools. Thus, Face Music records reflect living music traditions related to their roots and their history.

Up to date, this label has published music from Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Egypt, Mongolia, Togo (Westafrica), Uganda (Eastafrica), Brazil, Argentina, Russian and Cossack songs from Siberia, music and songs of the Turcic people and Kazakhs from the Altai and so on.

A survey as well as more detailed information on the music and the cultures respectively are published.
