Podshud - Satellites of the Lord of Hell and Defender of Religion



Meaning:
- These are the servants of the God of Death (Yama), and usually they are eight.

Characteristics:
  • - two at a time have yellow, brown, blue and green complexion
  • - head of a "Dreadful God"
  • - skull-crown with one jag
  • - Third Eye of Wisdom in the centre of the forehead
  • - ripper teeth in the wide-opened mouth
  • - mostly golden ear decoration
  • - short dress with long trousers

Attributes:
- In the one hand they hold a bowl made from human skulls and in the other one a magic dagger.

Dance:
- Round dance-like, two at a time. The dancers start at the outer dance circle and come to a stop in front of the sacrifical altar.
